Situated at 1,538 metres above sea level, Forca d’Acero is an Apennine pass that connects the municipalities of Opi in Abruzzo and San Donato Val di Comino in Lazio.
This mountain pass crosses the primary Apennine watershed between the provinces of L’Aquila and Frosinone, serving as the western gateway to the Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise National Park. The area is characterized by lush centuries-old beech forests, large clearings and spectacular geological formations, offering an ideal environment for excursions, sports activities and moments of relaxation immersed in uncontaminated nature.
